Keyword density is the frequency of use of a keyword or search term in the Web page. The keywords density includes all indexable text such as the hidden text used in the HEAD and the visible text used in the BODY of the Web page. Again, there is a fine line between high levels of keyword density and Spam.

This was once a popular technique to add keywords to a website without ruining the look of it by having large amounts of text at the bottom of the page. Essentially white text on a white background (or other matching combinations) meant that the search engines could see the extra text, but people could not. Modern search engines will either ignore or punish you for this tactic.

It will be keyword rich and specifically written to achieve a high ranking in the natural, or organic, search results. It acts as a gateway and moves visitors through to the main site content.

A Doorway Domain is a Domain Name that is purchased to rank well for specific keywords in the search engines and is a ‘doorway’ that site visitors will enter to reach the main site. An example of this would be an accountancy business in Worcester purchasing www.worcester-accountants.co.uk and moving it through to their main site.
