Page Rank is a system that is used by Google to help it gauge the importance of a Web page. It is important in helping to determine a Web page’s ranking in the search engines. Google believes that if one page links to another then it is giving that page importance. Essentially, the more inbound links, the more important the page.

This is a method to ensure a website is included in the search engine or directory. Paid inclusion does not affect the search engine results, it merely guarantees inclusion.
