This is a term that refers to the combining of several words as a search term. The results are far more specific, and eliminate some of the earlier stages. For example, if you search for ‘car’ you will get all sorts of results, thousands of potential sites. However, if you put in ‘family car with 5 star NCAP rating’ you will get far less results, but much more relevant results. These are known as Long Tail searches.

A long domain name is one that has between 26 and 67 characters, including the extension eg. .com or .co.uk
