Hidden Text
This was once a popular technique to add keywords to a website without ruining the look of it by having large amounts of text at the bottom of the page. Essentially white text on a white background (or other matching combinations) meant that the search engines could see the extra text, but people could not. Modern search engines will either ignore or punish you for this tactic.
Home Page
The Home Page refers to the first or main page of a website. It is the first page you land on if you type the web address in full eg. www.clicksolution.co.uk
HTML
HyperText Markup Language (or HTML) is the proprietary mark up or coding language for Web pages. HTML is written in the form of tags and can be read by all Internet browsers.
HTML Email
An HTML Email is created and formatted using Hypertext Markup Language. This allows the inclusion of images and specific fonts and colour schemes. An HTML email will often follow a corporate look so the recipient can make a visual link between the online and offline marketing activity of the company or person who sent it.
HTTPS
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (or HTTPS) denotes a page on a secure server. An HTTPS page often has a small gold padlock to further illustrate this higher level of security.
