CNAME stands for ‘canonical name’ and is a redirection to the zone file of the entered target domain. All entries (NS, MX, A) therefore apply to this target domain. CNAMES are primarily used to make it easier to maintain domains with the same basic data, or to assign other domains entered in the same zone the same data as the zone itself.

Cost Per Click (CPC) is another name for Pay Per Click (PPC). Essentially, the charge made by the search engine, based on the bid amount, for referring the user to the advertisers website.

Click Through Rate (CTR)

If your advert was shown 1000 times in one day, that is 1000 impressions. Every time a user clicks on an impression, the search engine counts it as a click, and charges accordingly. If you get 100 clicks from 1000 impressions, that is a 10% CTR.
